Cpl. Scott MacRae

Cpl.  Scott MacRae is the Media Relations Officer for the Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).  Cpl. MacRae, a graduate of Saint Mary’s University, grew up in Cape Breton and joined the force in 1998. He was first posted to the community of Parrsboro, Cumberland County. Working in operational policing, Cpl. MacRae has served in several communities in Nova Scotia, including Cumberland County, Indian Brook First Nations, Queens County and Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).

Cpl. MacRae has been recognized for his commitment to community-based policing and is a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. In 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.

Cpl. MacRae was transferred to Halifax District in 2007. He worked out of the Cole Harbour and Lower Sackville detachments. Most recently, he served as the Site Supervisor of the RCMP Halifax Stanfield International Airport Unit.

In his spare time, Cpl. MacRae enjoys time with his family and engaging in sports. He continues to support community projects and police initiatives.
