Provincial Emergency Unit

The RCMP has a full-time Provincial Emergency Planner. This unit’s primary purpose is to develop Emergency Operations Plans (EOP) for Newfoundland and Labrador. They establish the organization, coordination procedures and response patterns for emergency or disaster event responses. They maximize the RCMP’s readiness and response capability, bolster the day to day response capability, promote integration, partnerships and interoperability.
