These trends were seen in previous natural disasters such as the tsunami of 2004 in South East Asia. In support of the Haitian National Police (HNP), the Canadian Police Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (CPCMEC) deployed a team to Haiti in an effort to protect children from IT- enabled sexual exploitation.
