Fatal snowmobile collision, Nashwaak Bridge, N.B.

District 2 Oromocto RCMP is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision which occurred on Cross Creek Road in Nashwaak Bridge on Saturday January 30th, 2010, at approximately 7 pm.

A snowmobile was traveling North on Cross Creek Road when it collided head-on with a minivan driving southbound. The male rider of the snowmobile was confirmed deceased on scene. The lone occupant of the minivan escaped without injury. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

The RCMP and Coroner's Office are still investigating the causes surrounding this collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the District 2 Oromocto RCMP at (506)357-4300 or 1-888-506-RCMP.
