RCMP conduct child pornography investigation, Tracadie-Sheila, N.B.

On January 27, 2010, the Acadian Peninsula Street Crime Unit, in cooperation with the RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Technological Crime Section, searched a residence in the Tracadie-Sheila area following an investigation concerning child pornography and the luring of persons under 18 years of age via the Internet.

Several computers and various other electronic devices were seized during the search.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and will appear in court on April 28, 2010 to face various charges related to child pornography.

The investigation is ongoing.
