Hit and Run Causing Death, Saint John, N.B.

Crime Stoppers and the Saint John Police Force are looking for the driver of a hit and run vehicle who struck Roger Cameron on Rothesay Avenue in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Over 7 years ago, on Sunday September 8th, 2002 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Roger Cameron was heading home in his wheel chair. He was travelling eastbound on Rothesay Avenue, when he was struck from behind. The driver failed to remain at the scene of the accident and provide assistance. Witnesses told police that the vehicle stopped briefly then drove off at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was described as a light blue lumina van, (with no roof rack). It was distinguished by it’s brake lights, which are located on both sides of the rear upper portion of the van. Police believe there is someone who has information that could help solve this case.
