Drug Seizure, Bairdsville, N.B.

On Thursday January 21, 2010, District 7 and District 10 RCMP effected a search warrant into a home in Bairdsville on Route 130, near Perth Andover, N.B.

During the search a sophisticated marijuana grow operation was uncovered. Over 200 marijuana plants were seized. Charges are pending against a 48-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman.

The operation was part of District 7 and 10 's RCMP's ongoing strategy to dismantle and disrupt the distribution and use of illicit drugs in the area and reduce crime.

The investigation continues.
