Books of condolences for RCMP Sgt. Mark Gallagher, who died in the earthquake in Haiti have been set up at several locations in New Brunswick.

Sgt. Gallagher did most of his policing service in New Brunswick and was well known by those who work with the RCMP and members of the public. He was on a nine month United Nations Peacekeeping mission in Haiti at the time of his death.

Condolence books are at RCMP New Brunswick Headquarters, 1445 Regent Street in Fredericton, Codiac RCMP, 520 Main Street in Moncton, Belledune RCMP, 384 Main Street in Jacquet River, Bathurst RCMP, 900 Vanier Boulevard in Bathurst, Dalhousie RCMP at 389 Darlington Drive in Dalhousie, Campbellton RCMP at 6A Arran Street in Campbellton and at Woodstock RCMP, 410 Connell Street in Woodstock.

An online condolence book has also been set up. The condolences will be collected and shared with the Gallagher Family.

Flags are being half masted at RCMP buildings throughout New Brunswick in mourning the death of Sgt. Gallagher. They will remain half masted until sunset of the day of the funeral.

The RCMP’s Commanding Officer in New Brunswick, Assistant Commissioner Wayne Lang will be available for media interviews at RCMP New Brunswick Headquarters 1445 Regent Street on Friday, January 15 at 1pm.
