Man sentenced for cocaine trafficking, St-Quentin, N.B.

A man from the Saint-Quentin area was sentenced for cocaine trafficking on January 14, 2010, in Provincial Court in Saint-Quentin. The charges stemmed from Project Jellyfish, which was conducted in June 2007.

Édouard CHIASSON pleaded guilty on June 4, 2009 to two charges of cocaine trafficking. On January 14, 2010, he was sentenced to two years in prison. He is also prohibited from owning firearms for a period of ten years.

At the time the offences were committed, Mr. CHIASSON was operating an establishment called “KOZY Bar” in Saint-Quentin.
