23-month-old girl who ingested methadone passes away, Havelock, N.B.

The 23-month-old girl from Havelock who ingested methadone last week has died.

The toddler passed away at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax on January 13, 2010.

The RCMP is treating the circumstances surrounding her death as suspicious and the investigation is now being carried out by the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit.

At this time, the name of the girl is not being released until her family has been properly notified.
