Fatal snowmobile collision, Benton, N.B.

District 7 RCMP is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision which occurred on a snowmobile trail near Benton Road in Benton, NB on Friday February 5, 2010, shortly after 8:30 pm.

A snowmobile collided with a second snowmobile which was parked on the side of the trail. The snowmobile rider, a 45 year old man from Hopewell Cape, NB died. The other snowmobile driver who was parked on the side of the trail was not injured.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time. The investigation is continuing.
