Sentenced for possession of cocaïne, Caraquet, N.-B.

On February 2, 2010 in Caraquet Provincial Court, Jacques Mallet of Shippagan received an 8 month prison sentence from Judge Yvette Finn after pleading guilty to two charges of possession of drugs on September 9, 2009. He also receive 1 year of probation and was order to pay a fine of $100.

The Shippagan RCMP had executed search warrants in Jacques Mallet's residence on Saules Street in Shippagan in June 2007 and again in January 2008. Police had seized a quantity of cocaine and cash.
