Driver involved in a collision asked to contact the RCMP, Sackville, NB,

The Sackville RCMP -District 4- are investigating a hit and run collision that occurred on Main Street in Sackville. On February 1st, 2010 at approximately 10:55 pm, a 21 year old female student from Mount Allison University was struck by a vehicle while she was walking northbound in front of Sassy's Convenience. The driver left the scene and as of this morning has not yet reported the collision to police. "We are asking that the driver involved in this collision to have the courage to come forward and to provide details surrounding this incident" explains Sgt. Paul Ouellette.

The victim sustained serious but non life threatening injuries and was taken to the Moncton City Hospital. She is still currently in hospital and the RCMP are continuing their investigation.
