Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week : Help us put a stop to synthetic drug abuse, Fredericton, N.B.

2010/4/30

Crime Stoppers and the RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness Service are asking the public to report any activity relating to the production and distribution of synthetic drugs in New Brunswick.

Synthetic drugs, such as ecstasy and methamphetamine, and their potentially lethal effects seem to be underestimated by many New Brunswickers. These drugs are produced and distributed by organized crime groups who combine highly addictive, harmful and toxic chemicals together. It is impossible to tell what is in these extremely addictive pills, and the people selling them are only concerned about profit. Their consumption can have very negative medical effects and can even cause death. Help us protect our children, our youth and the well being of our communities.

If you have any information concerning synthetic drugs, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, that’s 1-800-222-8477. If your information leads to an arrest you may qualify for a cash award of up to $2,000.
