As part of the investigation that led to the seizure of more than two million suspected methamphetamine tablets on February 29, police officers from the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) executed a search warrant at a Laval residence on March 17. As a result of this operation, approximately 1,750,000 additional tablets of suspected methamphetamine were found. The tablets were located in an unoccupied house in Laval suspected of having been used for the sole purpose of storing drugs.

The RCMP will continue its work to reduce drug trafficking in Canada and destabilize organized crime groups by dismantling their infrastructure and disrupting their ability to use our communities to carry out their criminal activity.

About the CFSEU

With the participation of local, national and international partners, the CFSEU conducts high-level criminal investigations to curb the proliferation and development of organized crime in Quebec. Organized crime reaches beyond borders, constantly developing new ways to thwart the law. The CFSEU uses innovative investigative techniques and plays a vital role in the RCMP's response to organized crime.
