UPDATE: Antigonish County District RCMP arrest a man after shooting in Aulds Cove

Antigonish County District RCMP has charged a man after a shooting in Aulds Cove that left one man injured.

On April 4, Antigonish County District RCMP, with the assistance of the Antigonish-Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit, and the RCMP Police Dog Services, arrested 24-year-old Samuel Taylor from Port Hastings.

Taylor has been charged with:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder;
  • Aggravated Assault;
  • Careless Use of Firearm;
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
  • Pointing a Firearm;
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm;
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

Taylor appeared in Antigonish Provincial Court today and was remanded in custody. He will be back in Court on April 9 at 9:30 a.m.
