Selkirk RCMP investigate stabbing

On April 21, 2024, at approximately 9:25 pm, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a stabbing and that the male was currently at the hospital.

The investigation determined that the male was with two other adults when he got into an altercation with one of the adults and was stabbed. The victim, a 55-year-old male, remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On April 28, 2024, Selkirk RCMP arrested Darien Williams, 30, of Winnipeg. He has been charged with a number of offences including:

Aggravated Assault
Assault
Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Fail to Comply x4

He was remanded into custody.
