Officers located and seized approximately 107 grams of crack cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of ecstasy, a large number of knives, axes, baseballs bats, an imitation handgun, a sum of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

On April 12, 2024 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Sandy Bay RCMP performed a routine traffic stop in Sandy Bay, SK.

As a result of investigation, during the traffic stop officers located and seized approximately 107 grams of crack cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of ecstasy, a large number of knives, axes, baseballs bats, an imitation handgun, a sum of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

An adult male was arrested at the scene.

34-year-old Kelvin McCallum from Prince Albert is charged with:

  • three counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
  • four counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code; and
  • one count, possession of firearm while prohibited, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code.

Kelvin McCallum will appear in court in Sandy Bay on April 18, 2024.
