RCMP lay Child Luring charges on 52-year-old Island Man

April 11, 2024, St Georges PEI – The PEI RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit has laid charges against 52-year-old Troy Johnston of St Georges PE, following an investigation that started in December of 2023. This investigation was completed by the PEI RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit, a dedicated unit with specialized skill to investigate child exploitation crimes. This investigation was assisted by the RCMP Major Crime Unit, the Digital Forensic Unit, RCMP Provincial General Investigative Section, Queens District RCMP and the Kings District RCMP. Johnston will appear in Georgetown Provincial Court May 23rd at 9:30 a.m. to answer to charges of Luring for the purpose of facilitating the commission of an offence.
