Kimmirut, Nunavut
On February 14th, 2024, Kimmirut RCMP, arrested Karpik Kolola, 37, and was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Two counts of Luring a Child, Section 172.1(1) C.C
- Two counts of Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration, Section 286(1) C.C
Kolola has been remanded into custody and will have his first appearance on February 20th, 2024.
This investigation is on-going. Police believe there may be additional victims in Kimmirut and Pond Inlet. They are encourage to come forward and contact their local RCMP.
