On July 31, 2022, at 7:00 am, Iqaluit RCMP received a complaint of a break, enter and theft at Arctic Ventures. A safe, various brands of cigarettes, gift cards and cash were taken valued at more than $70,000. The RCMP later recovered the safe.

The Iqaluit RCMP is asking the public's assistance to help identify the individuals shown in the photos. Security video captured the suspects inside the store. One suspect is wearing a distinctive orange jacket with a fur trim and a black and grey backpack with white stripes on the side. The other suspect is wearing black pants and black hoodie, a cap and is carrying a white tote bag with black trim.

Anyone who saw the safe being handled, anyone who has seen the orange jacket or anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Iqaluit RCMP at 979-1111.
