Update 3: Alberta RCMP continue to investigate the homicide of Nature Duperron

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit continues to follow-up on various leads surrounding the homicide of Nature Duperron.

At this time, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit can confirm they executed a search warrant, with the assistance of Edmonton Police Service, at a basement suite in the vicinity of 109 Avenue and 97 Street in Edmonton during the morning of Jan. 22, 2020.

Investigators would also like to speak to anyone who saw Nature Duperron during the first week of April 2019 in the area of 106 Avenue and 95 Street in Edmonton.

Update 2: Hinton RCMP seek assistance identifying two males

Yellowhead County, Alta. - The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is looking for assistance to identify the two males in the attached photos. The police would like to talk to these individuals in relation to the Nature Duperron homicide investigation.

Update 1 * identification*: Hinton RCMP investigate found human remains

Yellowhead County, Alta. – The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is providing an update about the found human remains dating back to May of this year, which were identified as 25-year old Nature Duperron, of Athabasca.

Duperron's family reported her missing on April 15, 2019. An RCMP missing person investigation determined that Duperron was last seen in Edmonton in the beginning of April of this year.

An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Edmonton on April 25, 2019, and as of this date a cause of death has not yet been determined.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is treating Duperron's death as a homicide.

Hinton RCMP investigate found human remains

Hinton, Alta. – Last week, Hinton RCMP recovered a body from an area outside of the town of Hinton. An autopsy was conducted and next of kin notifications have been completed.

The investigation into the circumstances around the death are ongoing and as such, no further information will be released at this time.

An update will be provided as soon as information can be released.
