Traffic Stop in Eskasoni leads to drug charges

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on December 24, Eskasoni RCMP were conducting a checkpoint on Shore road. Upon checking a vehicle, police subsequently seized a quantity of Psilocybin. The driver and passenger were arrested without incident.

James Robert Morris, 30, and Jasmine Mary Stevens, 20, both of Eskasoni have been charged with Possession of Psilocybin for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Eskasoni Provincial Court on February 25, 2020.
