Three Burin Peninsula residents face drug charges following RCMP investigation

Three individuals are each facing charges of possession of cocaine and oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence as a result of a drug trafficking investigation by Burin Peninsula RCMP and General Investigation Section.

As part of the investigation, police conducted a traffic stop near the community of Jean de Baie that resulted in the arrest of the three occupants in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located a significant quantity of oxycodone and cocaine which were destined for sale in the Burin Peninsula area.

Charges have been laid against:

  • Graham Tobin, 28 years old, of St. Lawrence, NL
  • Colin Lake, 24 years old, of St. Lawrence, NL
  • Kaylynn Piercey, 20 years old, from Fortune, NL

All three appeared in court yesterday and were released under conditions. They will appear in court again at a later date.
