Yesterday, a 39-year-old woman, from Holyrood, was issued a speeding ticket, licence suspension and had her vehicle impounded following traffic stop near Foxtrap on the Trans-Canada Highway.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. an officer with RCMP Traffic Services East observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Radar readings determined the vehicle was travelling at speeds as high as 156 kms/hr. The woman was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding more than 51 km/hr above the posted speed limit.
