RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Section lays additional charges against Tyler Butler relating to the seizure of a quantity of cash, as part of Project Blowfish.

Newfoundland and Labrador

The RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Section has laid additional charges against 25-year-old Tyler Butler of St. John's, one of the accused in Project Blowfish. Butler now faces three new Criminal Code charges as a result of the investigation.

On March 9, 2020, police laid the charges with the Provincial Court which include two counts of possession of proceeds of crime and a charge of money laundering.

Butler, who is currently remanded in custody, will attend Provincial Court on March 18, 2020, to answer to all charges related to Project Blowfish.
