During the week of December 8-14, 2019, Placentia RCMP held their annual Fill-the-Back Food Drive.

During the week of December 8-14, 2019, Placentia RCMP held their annual Fill-the-Back Food Drive. The back of the police vehicle was filled to the brim with a large quantity of food that was collected for the local food bank. Placentia RCMP thanks the residents of Placentia and surrounding communities for their support of this initiative.

On December 19, Placentia RCMP partnered with Placentia Volunteer Fire Department, Power's Ambulance, Wolverine Search and Rescue, Eastern Health, Placentia Community Youth Network, Laval High School and other volunteers to conduct an ATV awareness presentation to grade 7-12 students of Laval High School. Students participated in demonstrations on preparations for an ATV trip, ice safety, ice rescue, signs of hypothermia, first aid and what to do when lost.

Placentia RCMP held its annual lighting of the RCMP Wish Tree December 4 in support of Children's Wish, Newfoundland and Labrador. Placentia RCMP is very pleased to announce $2800.00 was raised to help grant a wish for a child. Special thanks goes out to all the residents and businesses who supported the Wish Tree.
