On New Year's Eve at approximately 4:00 p.m., Natuashish RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious man, who was in possession of a weapon, outside a residence in the community.
Police attended and observed extensive damage to a vehicle parked at the residence.
Officers patrolled the community and located the suspect, 21-year-old Zachary Collins. He was taken into custody, charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief causing damage to property over $5000.00.
Collins was released on January 1, 2020, on a number of conditions and is scheduled to attend court on January 14, 2020.
