On March 20 at 9:49 p.m., members of Pictou District RCMP responded to a call of a woman who needed assistance. She told police she had been hit in the head and needed assistance. When RCMP members arrived on scene, they learned that three to four men wearing masks entered the home and struck the two occupants of the home on the head with a baseball bat. The suspects stole cash and marihuana, then fled the area in a small dark sedan, similar to a Honda Civic. The car fled in the direction of Sherbrooke Rd., towards Hwy. 104. The two victims were taken to hospital by EHS, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Pictou District RCMP is investigating the incident and is being assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Technicians to collect evidence at the scene.
