Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit track down warrant subjects

The Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (CAD CRU) took two wanted people into custody on July 15, 2020 as a means to support the safe community of Rocky Mountain House.

The CAD CRU were focusing their operations in the Rocky Mountain House area to assist in the apprehension of a wanted male who was at large. An 18-year-old male was wanted on outstanding warrants for robbery, assault with a weapon and break & enter. He was located and arrested by CAD CRU at a residence without incident.

He attended court today in Red Deer.

While establishing his whereabouts, the CAD CRU located a 30-year-old female. At the time of her arrest, she was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for assault, mischief and failing to attend court.

She was released from custody on cash bail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for August 12, 2020 in Rocky Mountain House.

The CAD CRU remains an active and viable unit, assisting detachments throughout central Alberta. This unit has the ability to be mobile and conduct their operations where the greatest current needs are identified.
