York Harbour man arrested for impaired driving after ATV collision

On July 9, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Corner Brook RCMP received a report of a collision between an ATV and a car on the Main Road in York Harbour.

The driver of the ATV, a 37-year-old man from the community, was transported to Western Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was released from the hospital and taken back to Corner Brook Detachment where he provided breath samples that were over twice the legal limit.

The man was arrested for impaired driving and had his licence suspended and vehicle seized. He was released from custody and will appear in court on September 19, 2019.

Additionally, he is facing three charges under the Motorized Snow Vehicles and All-Terrain Vehicles Act for not wearing a helmet, operating an ATV on a highway and operating an ATV without insurance.
