Western Alberta District RCMP Rural Crime Reduction Unit arrest three in stolen vehicle

On May 29, 2019, at approximately 10:45 p.m., members of the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit located a stolen Ford Mustang on the west side of the City of Grande Prairie. Three individuals were located inside and arrested. During a search of the vehicle, police located methamphetamine, cocaine, and a number of tools believed to be stolen.

A 46-year-old male of Grande Prairie, a 24-year-old female of Grande Prairie, and a 30-year-old male, of Grande Prairie have been charged with the following:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Cocaine

The 46-year-old male was also charged with three counts of Failing to Comply with Recognizance and was wanted on multiple warrants at the time of his arrest.

The 46-year-old was remanded into custody while the other two were released. All three will appear in Grande Prairie provincial court on July 10, 2019.

As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released.
