Yesterday morning, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP received a call of concern for a woman who was reported missing.
RCMP Police Dog Services was dispatched, along with Exploits Ground Search and Rescue, to search for the woman. Police also sought assistance from the public and a helicopter was used to conduct an aerial search.
The woman was located safely in a wooded area shortly before 6:00 p.m. She was taken to the hospital for a medical assessment.
