On August 18, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Turtleford RCMP received a report of an armed home invasion at a residence on a rural property southeast of Glaslyn, SK.

An adult male victim, who was the sole occupant of the residence at the time of the incident, heard noises at the back door. As he approached the door, several males who were wearing masks forcefully entered the residence. The victim was physically assaulted and suffered minor injuries as a result. He did not require medical treatment.

The victim reported one of the males was carrying a firearm.

Following the assault, the suspects left the scene in the vehicle they arrived in and a second vehicle which was stolen from the property.

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for those vehicles:

  • A muddy black Jeep CJ two-door with wide tires and black rims.
  • A 1983 Dodge Ramcharger SUV with black coloured paint on the top and grey/brown coloured primer on the bottom, chrome wheel covers on the driver's side and white rims on the back passenger side. The vehicle was issued a Saskatchewan license plate of 213LEY. However, police believe this license may have changed since the incident. This was the vehicle that was stolen from the property.

If these vehicles are observed, DO NOT approach. Occupants may be armed. Call 9-1-1 or the RCMP at 310-7267(RCMP) immediately.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact their local police service or RCMP Detachment. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at saskcrimestoppers.com.
