On August 8, 2019, at approximately 7:25 pm, Stonewall RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 near Road 81 N, in the RM of Rockwood.
The investigation has determined that a vehicle, driven by a 49-year-old male from Stonewall, was travelling north on Highway 7 when it collided head-on with a vehicle travelling south on Highway 7, driven by a 28-year-old female from Sandy Hook.
The 49-year-old male was pronounced deceased on scene. The 28-year-old female was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Stonewall RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
