On August 29, 2019 at approximately 11:15 p.m., RCMP in Slave Lake responded to a call of a male being struck by a train one railway property near Main Street.
On arrival, emergency crews located a male with critical injuries. He was removed from the scene and transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased approximately three hours later.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Investigators are still trying to positively confirm the identity of the male.
