The Elsipogtog RCMP is investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of an Elsipogtog man.
Just before 4 p.m. on December 30, 2019, police responded to a single vehicle crash on Main Street in Elsipogtog First Nation. A SUV had left the road and struck a power pole.
Three people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver, a 58-year-old woman, and the front passenger, a 73-year-old man, were taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.
A 58-year-old man in the backseat of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash.
Roads at the time of the crash were icy.
The investigation is continuing.
