Queens District RCMP, with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT)and members of the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a home on Brunswick St. in Liverpool on July 31. Investigators conducted a risk assessment of the circumstances and determined the ERT was required to assist with the search, in order to ensure the safety of investigators and the public.
Police began the search early in the morning of July 31. Three people were arrested outside the home by the ERT without incident. Inside the home, police seized crack cocaine, methamphetamine pills, Ritalin pills, cannabis edibles, and cannabis resin. They also seized drug paraphernalia, cash, and evidence of drug trafficking.
Two people have been charged with drug offences:
- Jonathan Brian Wood, 27, of Liverpool, charged with Possesion for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Fail to Comply with a Recognizance (2 Counts)
- Tracy Lynn Ozon, 29, of Liverpool charged with Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Fail to Comply with Recognizance
Wood and Ozon were held in custody and were taken to Bridgewater Provincial Court later in the day. They are scheduled to return to court on August 2.
An additional person, a 32-year-old man from Hunt's Point, Queens County is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine. He was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
