It is with great sadness, the Ontario RCMP announces the passing of retired Police Service Dog "Curt" from a brief and courageous battle with cancer on July 16, 2019.

Curt was born in Innisfail, Alberta and served the RCMP throughout the Lower Mainland, E Division, with Cst. Mike MacGillivray Reg. 52145, until Curt's retirement in 2018. Curt was 9 years old at the time of his passing and had lived a comfortable life in the year of his retirement. Curt was described as, "the strongest of dogs and a fantastic partner", dedicating his all from the tracking of high risk criminals to quality time spent at home.

Curt will be sadly missed by Mike and his family, who raised and served with Curt since he was 8 weeks old.

Rest in peace and thank you for your service, Curt.
