Red Deer RCMP investigate shooting

At approximately 11 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2019, police responded to a call for a male that had been shot near the Overdose Prevention Site in downtown Red Deer.

Red Deer RCMP General Investigative Section is currently investigating the incident. Police believe the victim was targeted in this crime. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
