RCMP update: Additional charges laid in attempted murder

A woman has been charged with Attempted Murder following an incident on August 25. Two men have already been charged with offences related to the incidents.

approximately 3:30 a.m., Inverness County RCMP responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a man was being chased by two other men, the more 911 calls of a hit and run incident. Police determined the incidents were related.

On September 5, Jenilee Kaitlyn Francis, 18, was charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Obstruction, in relation to the incidents. She was held in custody overnight and was taken to Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on September 6. Francis was released by the courts today on strict conditions, and the two men who were charged earlier have been remanded to September 13.

The investigation is ongoing.
