RCMP Turtleford – Attempted Theft of ATM

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019, Turtleford RCMP responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street in the community of Edam, SK. Upon arrival on scene, it was observed that a suspect had attempted to break into the ATM. No one was in the business at the time of the incident. The investigation has lead the Turtleford RCMP to arrest and charge an adult male in this matter.

39 year-old Nathan Orchison of Edam, SK is charged with:

  • 1 count, Mischief Over $5,000, section 430(3) of the Criminal Code
  • 1 count, Possession of a Break in Instrument, section 351(1) of the Criminal Code
  • 1 count, Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, section 351(2) of the Criminal Code

Nathan was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Provincial court on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in St. Walburg.

the first appearance, Nathan was released by the courts on several conditions. His next court date has been set for Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Walburg.

Turtleford RCMP continue to investigate this matter.
