At approximately 9:00 a.m., Springdale RCMP were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle rollover collision on the Trans-Canada Highway at Sheffield Brook Bridge.
An 82-year-old man from the west coast, a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene. The driver has been taken to hospital with critical injuries.
A Collision Analyst from RCMP Traffic Services West is on scene and the investigation is continuing.
Springdale RCMP advises traffic may be delayed or slowed during the course of the investigation and asks that motorists use caution when passing through the area and stay off cellular devices.
