On August 9, 2019 at approximately 2:30 p.m., High Level RCMP received a request from EMS to assist with a male who had been shot. The male victim was located in an alley near 105 Avenue and 98 Street, near the Maple Ridge Suites.
The victim succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for August 12, 2019. Police are making efforts to confirm the identity of the deceased.
RCMP "K" Division Major Crimes Unit is engaged and is seeking to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting. Additionally, if there are any residents with surveillance footage, they are asked to contact the High Level Detachment.
