RCMP investigates stabbing in New Minas

Last night, at approximately 9:30pm, New Minas RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on White Rock Rd. in White Rock. The victim was already being transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. When police arrived on scene, the suspect was located and arrested without incident.

The suspect and the victim are known to each other and this is not considered to be a random act. Joshua Emino, 21 of Lunenburg County, has been charged with the following:

  • Aggrevated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Uttering Threats
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Emino is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on September 3.

The matter remains under investigation by New Minas RCMP.
