RCMP investigates single vehicle collision

RCMP are investigating a single motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning in Brentwood.

At approximately 3:05 a.m., RCMP, EHS and Brookfield Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the collision at the 1000 block on Hwy 2 where they located a vehicle in the ditch along the highway. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man from Brentwood, was transported to hospital via LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP Collision Analyst is on scene where the highway remains closed. It is expected to remain closed until early afternoon. Traffic is being diverted to Exit 12 on Hwy 2 and Shortts Lake West Rd.

The investigation is ongoing.
