RCMP investigates fatal collision

Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal single vehicle collision that happened this morning in Brooklyn Corner, Kings County.

At approximately 9:50 a.m. this morning, RCMP responded to a collision that occurred on Lovett Rd. A car travelling southbound, left the roadway and landed in a river. The driver, a 51-year-old man from Kentville, was transported to hospital. The man was later pronounced deceased.

Kentville Fire Department also responded. An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene and Lovett Rd. was closed but has since been re-opened. The investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the family of the victim at this difficult time.
