RCMP investigates arson

Halifax District RCMP is investigating an arson that occurred at a home in Lake Echo.

Yesterday morning at 11 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a house fire on Bumpy Lane in Lake Echo. The investigation determined that the fire was suspicious in nature. One man was seen fleeing the home at the time of the fire and there were no other occupants. No one was injured as a result of the fire. At approximately 2:10 p.m., RCMP arrested a 28-year-old man without incident, in relation to the fire.|

The investigation is ongoing and is now being led by the Integrated General Investigation Section.
