RCMP investigate single vehicle collision

RCMP is ‎investigating a single vehicle collision in Mclellans Brook that happened this morning and resulted in serious injuries.

Just after 2 a.m., Pictou RCMP responded to the collision on the 1000 block of Mclellans Brook Rd. and found the vehicle in the ditch. Thorburn Volunteer Fire Department and EHS also attended.

The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man from New Glasgow, was transported to hospital by EHS with serious injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist was called to the scene to investigate. The road was closed and is expected to remain closed until mid afternoon.‎

The investigation is ongoing.
