RCMP investigate fatal single vehicle collision

On December 4, 2019, at approximately 9:30 pm, Prairie Mountain RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Road 144 West, 3 km west of Provincial Road 264, in the RM of Rossburn.

The vehicle, with four occupants from Waywayseecappo First Nation, was travelling west on Road 144, when it left the roadway and rolled several times. One occupant was thrown from the vehicle.

A 45-year-old female and a 31-year-old male were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 47-year-old male and a 32-year-old male were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is believed the occupants were not wearing seatbelts. Speed may have been a factor in the collision.

Prairie Mountain RCMP, along with a Traffic Analyst, continue to investigate.
